KINGS X was founded in 1985 in the Alamo Heights neighborhood of San Antonio, Texas. In 1992, KINGS X was invited to be one of a select group of upmarket shops that would occupy a new retail area in the recently renovated Menger Hotel located in the heart of San Antonio's historic Alamo Plaza.

Closeby the world-famous Alamo itself The Menger provided the perfect location for our very special toy soldier store until 2020.
 
In January 2006 KINGS X was acquired by King & Country, the world's leading designer and manufacturer of all-metal, hand-painted military miniatures and fighting vehicles. Since then KINGS X has more than doubled the series and ranges of toy soldiers and military miniatures on display and in stock.
